W Bro Stanley Rogers - His First Fifty Years in Freemasonry

At our meeting on 8th December 2007, we were honoured by the presence of W Bro Robert Blick, Metropolitan Grand Inspector, together with his DC, W Bro Wes Hollands, who came to present W Bro Stanley Rogers with a Long Service Certificate on the occasion of Stanley's 50th year in Freemasonry. During a meeting which included the initiation of a new member, a summary of Stanley's long Masonic career was read to the members and visitors, and when Stanley spoke in response, he was considered, and thoughtful as always, but finished his response with great humour. He thanked his friends in Freemasonry that he had met during his long Masonic career, and spoke eloquently about his about his personal reasons for advancing in Freemasonry, and by the time he finished, many of the members and guests had lumps in their throats! A true gentleman, and a wonderful Mason.
